Notable People
[edit]How about Nobel laureates Eric Cornell and Thomas Cech? I’m pretty sure Cornell lives in Boulder. Both are CU professors. Physics and chemistry seem at least as notable as rock balancing. 2601:281:8081:A410:80FF:3E6B:A584:A5D4 (talk) 19:54, 22 April 2023 (UTC)
Future Transit Plans
[edit]I've added paragraph on the Front Range Passenger Rail proposal, which I believe is the most current. The paragraphs that follow are for earlier proposals (2012, 2016) which I suspect are now superseded/abandoned, but haven't found info to confirm this. Any volunteers to check this, and amend as necessary? Kokopelli-UK (talk) 20:42, 31 October 2023 (UTC)
Rocky Mountain Joe
[edit]surprised there's no Wikipedia article, or AFAICT even mention of, famous photographer and storyteller Rocky Mountain Joe Sturtevant, a Boulder institution. (Most recently reminded of Joe's work while researching Fort Chambers, Boulder Poor Farm in Valmont, Colorado.) I seem to recall an unfavorable experience ☹️ trying to start a new WP article, so not prepared to do so, but will contribute if others can get it started. Boulder's Documentary that was featured on PBS
[edit]I know I'm a little bias because I was apart of the documentary; however I think "This Is (not) Who We Are" should be on here. 2600:1700:8B81:6A00:B51D:FFEA:B958:185 (talk) 09:29, 23 April 2024 (UTC)
elevation
[edit]I find it interesting that the Elevation listed in the top section (ref. 2 USGS) differs notably from the elevation stated in the narrative section (ref. 4).
I think of Boulder as being a little higher than Denver, though of course that greatly depends on precisely where the respective measurements are made. Lepome (talk) 14:21, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
